Up and Running

So I have been working on getting my personal training business started and I have finally finished my website and it is up and running! Check it out www.blastthepastfitness.com. I am also going to do a free body fat testing night if you or anyone you know is interested. I just want to get lots of practice with it. It will be Thursday November 5th starting a 6pm. I will just have you fill out time slots and then you can come and get it done. If I don't have enough people that want to do it, I won't do it but I need the practice and it is great info for you to know so take a few minutes and come by!

Snow Day!

Cru was really excited for the snow. On Saturday there was a lot of snow on the ground so we took him outside and made a snowman.

ABC's

The last two weeks Cru has started to sing his ABC's. I think it is so cute. I love this age when they sing songs with you and can talk so much more.

Disneyland

Last week we went on a trip to Disneyland!!!! It was soooo fun and Cru enjoyed it a lot more then I thought he would.

This was the Playhouse disney show. He absolutely loved it!

We went to a Princess dinner and Cru was excited to be the only boy of the bunch, he loved the girls coming up to him and giving him hugs. He even tried to give Belle a smooch on the cheek!

Okay so I know that I haven't been the best blogger lately. Things have been crazy busy and I just haven't had the time. A lot of things have happened that I could have blogged about but what can you do. It was Cru's birthday the end of September, we have switched wards, pumpkin carving parties, Halloween trunk or treats, and Cole is getting so big. We are doing great and I will do a post soon to update you on pictures and such. I just wanted to say I am still alive and will do a post soon.

Cru was watching the computer when I went to Stacy's blog. We watched the video once and then he kept saying Austin again mommy. So by the time he was done we had watched Austin be a lion several times. It is so funny how kids are so easily entertained.

Girls Night Out!

Last night for girls night out my mom and I went to the Carrie Underwood Concert! For all of you who don't know she is a country music singer. It was so much fun having one on one time with my mom and not having to worry about anything. She gave an awesome concert which is to be expected since she is our cousin! Haha Jeff wishes, he would always say that when people would ask them if they were related. We have followed her since she was on American Idol. It is so amazing to me how she could go from being on American Idol to seeing her on the big stage as a headliner. It was a good time so thanks mom for sharing that experience with me!

For the holiday weekend we packed up and went to the Whitesides family reunion. It was a lot of fun! We rode jetskis and the ATV, watched movies, and just relaxed.

Yes, I know crazy hair the wind was blowing just a little bit. We also had just gotten back from riding on the jetski together so it had blown it like crazy.

Both of these pictures are random but I liked them. Cole was just chillin' in the chair and Cru was dancing around the house in his boxers. He thinks he is pretty cute, so do we!

Diego Obsession

So, I have come to the realization that my child has an obsession. The last week all he has wanted to do is watch Diego and play the Wii. Am I a terrible mother because I tend to give in? I don't want him to sit and watch every Diego video we have over and over again or watch tv all day but I figure it is just a phase. Is this NORMAL? He is pretty cute though " I want Diedo, I want Diedo" Even his room is decorated with Diego.

Nebraska

This past weekend we went on a trip to Nebraska with Grandma Shay and Papa. It was a lot of fun.

Cru was watching a movie in the car on the way so he had head phones on. He didn't love them very much!

Cru got a slip-n-slide this weekend so we thought we would try it out. He also got this little tikes slide. He had so much fun playing in the water and going down the slide. He would go back and forth from the slide to the water. Here is a little video I took. He was hiding from the camera so it is kind of hard to hear him at the end.

After we were done playing we went inside to have an ice cream cone. YUM

First I have to admit that I hated the thought of having a blog. I thought it was a waste of my time....but I have come to enjoy looking at others. I even decided to do a post of my own! Yes, I know Rachel, you can say I told you so!!!! She always gave me a hard time about not having one and told me I would enjoy it. Anyway, today Jeff was out mowing the lawn and Cru wanted to help him. He just got a lawn mower of his own so I thought this was pretty cute. He would follow Jeff around the lawn. He always wants to do what Jeff is doing.

The Fourth

We have a few new pictures from our Fourth of July celebration extravaganza. We traveled over to Uncle De-De and Aunt Tim's (Kim)...Cru pronounces his C's and K's with a T. Their community had a petting zoo and horse ride at the pool house. Cru really didn't like either one and got bored fast, so we went and played at the playground for a bit and then went back to the house for a BBQ.

For some reason, we didn't think to bring our swimming suits to swim at the pool, so De-De set a pool out at the house for Cru to play in. We have a few pictures - also, did not bring any thing for him to swim in...which is why he is naked in the picture. Cole didn't swim or ride horses, he just slept the whole time.

Soccer Night

We generally have a game every week and when it isn't too late Melissa and the kids come and watch. We have a good time...most of the team is made up on people from the ward. Family Reunion Stuff

Melissa and the boys left me alone last week for a few days and traveled to Utah (Bear Lake) for the Whitesides family reunion. It was nice to be home alone for a few days, but it did get old and I did start to miss them. They left on Wednesday and were scheduled to come home Sunday afternoon - ended up coming home on Satuday evening instead, a nice suprise. They had a great time on the trip, but were ready to come home because they also missed me so much.

Cole's Baby Blessing

Last Sunday we blessed the child at our house...it was wonderful to have both family and friends over to witness the event. Cole did a great job and didn't let out a peep during the whole blessing. Afterwards we took these quick pictures - probably should have taken some of the guests, but oh well. Don't be mad that you can barely see Cole in the second pic.

Also, right before the blessing we noticed that there was a house fire about five houses down from ours on the back side. The fire was pretty crazy...we don't know still what caused it. It was big enough that it caught the house next door on fire also. Didn't take any pictures - it was on the news that night though. Hopefully the families involved are all doing ok.

Nothing really exciting happened this last week, but figured that I would put some new photos up of the boys. Also, included in the picture of Cru is a bonus - no, not Diego but Melissa. Tambien, a pic of Cru with his shovel.

We found a couple of fish tanks at a garage sale this last week, so we went out and bought Cru some new goldfish. He loves his little "shishees". The only one that we named, Spot, moved on to a better place today. He had a black spot on the top of his head, oh how we will miss him. The good thing is that we purchased twenty fish and so Spot is survived by many others.

What's Up

Not much is new in the Underwood life. Melissa goes garage selling (or buying) whenever she gets a chance and I try to get out and play sports when I can. Hockey, soccer, and softball are in season now so I bring all the skills I got.

Melissa and I started watching the TV show "Lost" a few months ago, starting at season uno and marathoning until we caught up to this season. To say the least we are a little addicted...last night was the season finale and it was excellent. If there are any Lost lovers out there they will understand the addiction. I think that Melissa is in love with Sawyer, but she denies it. I openly admit that I am in love with Kate. Who isn't? Our other favorite shows are Smallville and The Office or Oficina, both done for the season too. Melissa is in love with Mr. Kent, once again denies it, but it is true. Or...maybe she is just soooo attracted to me that she really doesn't like them. Wow, ok - I take back being in love with Kate then. Melissa I am in love with you. We spend a lot of time watching the shows we enjoy, it gives us good time together. Sometimes Melissa makes me watch chick flicks like "27 Dresses" or "P.S. I Love You" and I hated them both, but I am a good husband for watching. Points.

Anyways, that is all I got. Is that good enough for you Jen? I feel so much pressure to blog all the time. Kim always jokes saying the only way to communicate with you is through the blog.

Here are a few pictures that I figured some of our fans would like to see of the children.

We have been taking it easy for the last few weeks and enjoying the time with the new one. Cru has been pretty good with Cole...he is a little rough with him and doesn't understand how to be gentle yet. He has given him a high five to the face a few times out of excitement. It is hard to discipline when he is not intentionally hurting him.

I went back to work this week and am wishing I was home still, it was nice to have the week off. I am excited every night to come home and be with my boys...they love me too. Cru does this new thing where if he wants you to go somewhere he will grab your hand and say "pull", then he will proceed to pull you where he wants you - most of the time it is outside to play with his baseball set. Grandma and Grandpa bought him a golf play set and he will use the golf club as his bat and hit the baseball off of the tee. What a little sports nut. Still plays the Wii and will go to where the controllers are and say wii until we give in - he is good at tennis and baseball.

Cole is healthy and doing well...he isn't as active as Cru, just sits there and stares at me.

Sometimes he will mutter the word "Hawaii", don't know...guess he wants to visit the Evans' soon. We have to tell him not yet.

Here are the most recent pictures of Cru...Melissa says he needs a haircut, but I like it the way it is. He is about 21mo. old now and we are having so much fun. I took a week off of work for the new baby and am enjoying every minute of it. Cru loves to be outside and enjoys helping Daddy with any project that he is working on. His favorite toy when we are outside is his mini shovel...he carries it and says "shovel" over and over. He also likes to play the wii and is getting pretty good at baseball and tennis.

Melissa finally had the baby! Born Saturday May 17th at 7:54am. 7lbs 3oz. 19 3/4in. Both Melissa and baby are doing great and Daddy is also doing great, if you were wondering. We didn't decide on the name until after he was born...Jeff wanted Cole the whole time - funny how he always get what he wants. Hmm.

Cru loves his little brother and is learning how to share the attention.
